In today’s video we will talk about how I talk with difficult or frustrated patients! It’s something I have had QUITE a lot of experience in during my years as a nurse and so far as a Family Nurse Practitioner. This topic was quite fitting as I had a difficult day at work, dealing with lots of unexpected unfortunate situations that had many people feeling frustrated and a bit “difficult”. At home, Avery had a bit of a rough day as well, but she’s cute, so there’s that. I also do my first unboxing, and go on the usual tangents.
WEEK IN THE LIFE OF AN NP
TATTOOS IN NURSING + PREPPING FOR THE WEEK 🎅 VLOGMAS DAY 18
In today’s video we cover the topic of tattoos in nursing and nursing school. Are they allowed? What do you do if you have to cover them up? All that and more will be discussed during our wrap-bang. I will also show you how I am trying to meal prep for the week to cut down on some of the chaos we seem to experience every morning before I head to work.
DESTRUCTION & CONSTRUCTION 🔨 VLOGMAS DAY 17
In today’s video we make some things, Avery destroys some things, and I chat about being a nurse when you are older. I get asked all the time if you can enter the nursing profession as an older adult, and today I’ll talk all about that while we wrap some presents! We also get a ton of stuff around the house done, and Joe channels his inner carpenter.
WORKING THE WEEKEND + FAMILY TIME 🍕 VLOGMAS DAY 16
In this video I’ll tell you about my day at work, some of the types of patients I saw, and my approach for giving out information on labs to patients. After work I had a super great day with my family! We had an adventurous day out, took Avery exploring at Petsmart for some free dog entertainment, and had a surprise dinner that was really nice! Hope you are all having an amazing weekend as well 🙂 Definitely a nice break after the week we had!
