We are home owners again! In this weeks vlog we head to the NC state fair, which turned into quite the day, buy our new house making us true North Carolina residents, and I decide Thursdays are just not my day.
It’s FLU SHOT season yet again! This video explains how I talk to my patients about the flu shot, and answers common patient questions I get regarding the flu shot. I go into how I respond to different common concerns regarding the flu shot, and how I like to educate patients so they can make the best informed decisions for their families! I have used these talking points as both a bedside nurse, nurse practitioner student, and a family nurse practitioner.

Tips for Recommending the Flu Shot
This week Avery had her 15 month check up, and we got an update on how she is doing! As many of you know, she was diagnosed with Failure to Thrive at a few months old, and its lead us down a challenging path involving developmental delays, speech delays, and so so many “bugs”. I’ll give you all the details in this weeks video! And explain what I’ve learned from the whole experience, and how it has changed me as a nurse and nurse practitioner.
