This video contains my tips for getting and staying motivated in nursing and NP school. I’ll share my tips for being a productive nursing and nurse practitioner student, and give insight on how I got things done when I felt like flopping on the couch and enjoying some screen time. I know I’ve feel “burnt out” oh so many times in my nursing and NP school career, and it can be overwhelming. You are not alone! You can absolutely do this and will make it through the semester!
This weeks video is a Q&A with my mom, a registered nurse with 30 some years of experience! This is part 1 of a 2 part interview series with her. In today’s video we talked about what kind of nursing she’s done, what her favorite specialties are, some tips for dealing with challenging co-workers and surgeons, what shifts she has worked, and lots about Nurse Practitioners. It was really fun interviewing her, and I hope you enjoy and learn something from it as well!
Accelerated Nursing Programs are a great solution if you already have a Bachelor Degree in something other than nursing, but wish to become a registered nurse. I went through an accelerated BSN program years ago when I changed my major late in college and decided to pursue nursing. In this video I go over what an Accelerated BSN program is, what the prerequisites are, how to succeed in one, and what you can expect once in the program. I’ll share my work experience, and how to have balance between life and school while in nursing school.
