This week is part two of our family vacation, re-entry into the real world again as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and my Thirtieth birthday! I also have my 34 week baby update and appointment, and we talk a bit about how I have no idea what line to walk with my patients when they come in asking for tests they possibly donāt need.

CELEBRATIONS & UPDATES
This week was exciting! We had our sixth wedding anniversary, went to some fun sunflower festival, Avery had her two year old well child check, and we headed off on our vacation! We also experienced our first full fledged airplane meltdown. Which was an adventure. Work was also cool because I am starting to feel more confident in my role as a Family Nurse Practitioner finally. It was Averyās second birthday this week! And she took over the whole week with her celebrations. So we will go through those, and also show a few of my days at work as a Family Nurse Practitioner! This week we will be discussing how to help patients describe their symptoms when they are poor historians, and providers roles in healthcare as guides, not necessarily decision makers.Ā

In this weeks vlog weāll discuss how I review new patients charts and what information I request from their previous providers, I have a small meltdown about insurance and how much it will cost to have baby number two, differentiating allergies from acute illness and lots of shopping for the perfect diaper bag.
