This week Joe surprised me with a new Apple Watch for my early birthday present after I murdered my last one. In today’s video I thought I would talk about how having an Apple Watch has been helpful while working as a nurse. Do you need one, what are the benefits, etc. I’ll also discuss how I use the apple watch in my current job as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Other things we will talk about this week are how to prepare for well child checks, my overwhelming day at work, and what I always send my patients home with from their primary care visit. We celebrate Avery’s birthday early with my mom, and have a fun weekend out as well. Thanks for watching!
How to Write One. Need to write an application essay? Bummer. But good news, we can make it fun! In today’s video I’ll explain my four easy steps for approaching application essays for Nursing school and Nurse Practitioner (NP) school. We will talk about how to research your school, what you are looking for, and how to integrate your personal statement with theirs. Application Essays for nursing and NP school can seem very intimidating, but hopefully after watching this you feel ready to tackle them!
In this weeks vlog I’ll go over how I approach new patients, have the “you have diabetes” talk, how I approach having students so that they can get the most out of preceptorship, and the usual recaps. It’s also Father’s day! Which I failed at. And we experience our first major bread fail.
Pregnancy Q&A. Was it harder being pregnant as a nurse or now as a Nurse Practitioner? Which pregnancy was harder? Dealing with morning sickness as a nurse or nurse practitioner? What are we going to name baby number 2?? These questions and more will be addressed in this video! Thanks everyone who sent your questions over, it was a super fun one to make 🙂
