This week I felt like I worked at urgent care, and it was the worst! I am oh so appreciative of people who work in urgent care, because I have ZERO patients for it apparently! I also demonstrate some of my excellent parenting skills and make pizza and focaccia on my bread baking adventure!
MY NP SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
In today’s video I’ll share the type of NP (Nurse Practitioner) School I attended. I’ll discuss some of the differences between online, hybrid, and brick and Mortar programs, as well as what I liked about the type I attended. I’ll also talk about how long my NP school program was, if I worked during the program, and How I paid for NP school. I’ll also provide some helpful tips that may be helpful in deciding what type of NP school you want to attend if you are at that point! If you have any other questions about my NP school experience feel free to ask down below!
MORE WORK RESPONSIBILITY
This week I got a ton of stuff done! And then got nauseous again. Bummer. I got some new responsibilities at work as a Family Nurse Practitioner and had to work on my delegating skills as I laid out some new policies that should help streamline some processes in the long run. I also had my nuchal translucency scan and finally updated the NP binder!
BEING A NEW NURSE IS HARD | LETS TALK ABOUT IT
Are you a new nurse? Feeling a little overwhelmed with this whole new transition? You are so not alone friend. The first 6 months of being a nurse were some of the hardest of my life. Talk about a crazy transition! In this video I’ll share with my experience as a new nurse and share some tips for navigating these months if you are in this yourself. My goal for this video is not to scare you away from nursing at all, just to talk about things we don’t talk about. That it’s hard in the beginning. But it does get better.
