In this weeks vlog I’ll take you with me as I do my second weekend solo as the only provider at the office, explore its my family, navigate a bunch of new patients, talk a bit about how I tell patients they are pregnant, and get into some honest talk about feeling a bit burnt out as a family nurse practitioner and annoyed with the healthcare system in general. As always I try to keep it real with you guys. I still love my job, it was just a bit of a rough week. Next week will be better!

This week we paid off a nursing school student loan, Avery discovered she is passionate about Easter egg hunts, I take you on a tour of my office at work, and I have my first solo Saturday at work as a Family Nurse Practitioner. It was a wild week! But a fun one. In it I shared some of how we are tackling our combined student loans, and how we plan to pay them off. Let me know if you want a whole video dedicated to that!

This week we will discuss what I’m most worried about going into the birth of baby number two, how I approach physical exams, what I talk about with drug reps and new providers when they come visit the office, as well as starting end of life and goals of care conversations. We also tour the hospital I’ll be having the baby in, and Avery insults my baking. Have great week!
